Vic: Moran a risk of fleeing Australia: police

A court's been told gangland widow JUDY MORAN is a flight risk from Australia .. and
may interfere with witnesses if released on bail.

MORAN was committed to stand trial earlier this month for the murder of her brother-in-law
.. DES "TUPPENCE" MORAN .. who was gunned down at an Ascot Vale coffee shop last June.

A bail application by MORAN's resumed in the Melbourne Magistrates Court today.

Detective Senior Constable STEPHEN REIDY .. from the Purana Taskforce .. has told the
court MORAN made a phone call to a friend from prison .. in which she discussed interfering
with a witness.

He says it's an unacceptable risk for her to be granted bail.

The hearing's continuing.
