Colonie Two jail officers who were acquitted of assault charges last week in the alleged beating of a former inmate are scheduled to return to work today.
Correction officers Roy T. Hoffman III, 36, and William J. Gorman, 28, were notified through their attorneys ``they are to return to full duty effective Feb. 25,'' Sheriff James L. Campbell said Monday.
``I am not conducting any witch hunt,'' he said. ``There will be no administrative charges. The criminal justice system has spoken. They return to work tomorrow.''
